Did you know that a disposable sanitary pad can contain as much plastic as FOUR plastic bags? Multiply that by the number of pads you might use in a given month…well, it seems to me like something’s gotta give.
My reusable sanitary pads are made from four layers of 100% cotton flannel, with a Zorb core and a PUL layer for added leak-protection.
Zorb is an eco-friendly, SUPER absorbent (it can absorb ten times it’s own weight in 2 seconds) fabric that is made in the USA and 100% free of harmful substances, such as PFOS, PFOA, lead, dioxins, heavy metals, BPA, and all kinds of phthalates, including DEHP, DBP, BBP, DINP, DIDP, and DnOP. The PUL fabric is equally as eco-friendly and chemical-free (also food-grade because I use the scraps from my Reusable Bowl Covers to make these sanitary pads, but that’s neither here nor there).
Check out my dumb TikTok about the absorbency of my sanitary pads, or take my word that these pads are great as a back-up for your menstrual cup, or for medium or light days.
CARE: Rinse in cold water and/or soak until you can toss them in the laundry. Machine-washable (cold), hang to dry (they tend to get too wrinkled and bunchy in the dryer).
Sanitary pads are currently only available in “mystery” print/color, but that is subject to change based on popularity.
