Is there a better snack than popcorn? It's crunchy, you can season it a million different ways, it's super filling...it definitely checks all the boxes for me.
Now don't get me wrong, there is nothing I like more than popping up a big pot of buttery corn on the stovetop. But that takes time, makes an oily pot to clean, and, let's face it, is a bit higher calorie than I'm looking for most days. Microwave popcorn is fast, doesn't make a mess....and is full of preservatives and other junk I'm honestly not interested in.
ENTER THE REUSABLE MICROWAVE POPCORN BAG!
So I know this sounds a little crazy, but I promise you, this bag works! It's 100% cotton and requires no oil, so nothing is coming into contact with your corn kernels that you don't choose to put on them yourself.
Simply put a half a cup of kernels in the bag, flip the top closed, and stick it in the microwave (opening side up). You can use your microwave's popcorn setting, or start with 2 1/2 minutes on high and adjust the time as needed for your particular microwave. You'll know it's done when the popping sounds slow down. There will be steam when you open the bag, so be careful!
Season and enjoy your fresh popcorn straight out of the bag, although if you plan to add butter you might want to transfer it to a bowl first. When your bag needs to be laundered, just toss it in the wash with your next load.
