More scrunchies, this time in taffeta!
Stretch taffeta is one of my favorite fabrics to use in costuming. It looks fancy, it has a great body and structure to it, and you can pleat or ruffle it beautifully depending on which way you cut it. It's also available in some really fabulous colors.
The taffeta used to make these scrunchies was originally purchased to make costumes for Thalian Association Children's Theatre's 2021 production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Taffeta scrunchies are available in red, pink, orange, aqua, purple, and dark silver.
Fun fact! Did you know that the sound taffeta makes when it brushes against itself is called scroop? That's a real thing! SCROOP! Honestly, I keep waiting for a sound designer to curse me out for all the scroop from my costumes.
As always, items in the Theatrical Collection are limited in number and available for a short time only!
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this item will be donated to the Thalian Association Community Theatre.
